Sean O’ Malley is a very popular fighter, and his popularity continues to grow. However, he has never faced a top 10 contender, and many people are doubting that his skill set is good enough for him to be in the group with the top contenders in the bantamweight division.

His next opponent, Pedro Munhoz, who he will face this Saturday at UFC 276, doesn’t think that way. Munhoz said at the UFC 276 media day:

“I believe he’s legit. People asked me the same question before, and my answer remains the same. I think he’s legit. I think he won a lot of the fights. He’s tall and long. He fights both stances and has a lot of skills. I will definitely be a great test for him, I believe I can stop him in three rounds for sure.”

Munhoz is looking to get a finish after his two-straight losses which have come against Dominick Cruz and Jose Aldo, who will fight Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 278.

O’Malley opens as a -225 favorite, while Munhoz opens as a +175 underdog since he’s lost 4 out of his 5 last fights.
