Nate Diaz (21-13) will take on Khamzat Chimaev (11-0) for his last fight in the UFC on September 10th at T-Mobile Arena. It will be a 5-round main event for the UFC 279, and the fight that was planned to take place last year is finally agreed upon.
Diaz was clear that he wants out of the MMA’s premier promotion, and Khamzat said on Twitter that is happy to fight Diaz.
Chimaev comes from a close-fought victory over Gilbert Burns, while Diaz’s last match is a loss against Leon Edwards, who is now fighting Kamaru Usman for the title. Diaz has three losses in a row, while Chimaev is undefeated in his 11 professional MMA fights.
