Jiri Prochazka UFC Light Heavyweight Champion

During last night’s explosive fight between the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jiri Prochazka and now former Light Heavyweight Champion Glover Teixeira, many people have noticed slight taps by the Czech fighter and were confused if he was submitting to Teixeira.

One of the best referees in the sport, and a referee of the UFC 275 main event, Marc Goddard explained to a question on Twitter:

“Lol. Jiri was actually congratulating & encouraging his opponent! He done it a couple of times and I told him it’s a risky game lol! But it’s very clear what he was doing and intending. Lets celebrate the incredible feat from both gentleman.”
