UFC on ESPN 37’s main event didn’t disappoint one bit, as Kattar and Emmett have put on a show for the fans. Five rounds of back-and-forth action saw these two featherweights bring out the best in each other.

As the fight went to the judges’ scorecards, both fighters were expecting to get their hands raised. It was Josh Emmett (18-2) who took the split-decision win, with two judges scoring 48-47 in Emmett’s favor, and one judge scoring it 48-47 Kattar.

After the fight, Kattar spoke on ESPN+ post-fight show:

“I just thought I was going to get my hand raised at the end of it. I didn’t care, we give a sh*t if it’s unanimous or a split. I thought I did enough to win the fight. Josh is a class act, a tough kid. Congrats to him and his team.”

Kattar (23-6) applauded Emmett’s power and also said he will go and rewatch the fight and see where he will go from there.

“I thought I did enough to beat a high-level caliber opponent. I just have to go back, check the tape, see what’s up. I’ve really got more questions than anything.” – said Kattar.
