@hussain3075 It would be a toss up between Diaz and Hieron. So, let’s skip all the touney bullshit and just give Hieron, who is on a 7 fight win streak, the title shot he deserves. They are giving the shot to bum ass Hayato Sakurai, who is on a 2 fight losing streak.

I have a lot of respect for Hieron. He may not be in the elite class like GSP or Hughes back in his day, but he’s a consumate professional, and he makes his team better.

Yeah, the def. shouldn’t but that has been the norm at strikeforce with injuries, card scheduling, hand infections, bar brawls, etc. not just cung but in the other divisions also. The fact that they only have like 3 legit fighters in each weightclass also hurts it.

There really wasn’t a reason for them to strip cung’s belt. They were hardly putting on any fights and coker manages cungs acting career. It’s not like any of the other “divisions” were moving belts.

Yea recently they should have made Cung Le relinquish his title a year ago. And they should get on Diaz about his antics, and Im a fan of Diaz. Strikeforce need to frow some nuts fast.

Cung Le relinquished his title. Jake Shields is fighting Jason “Mayhem” Miller for it and that’s why Shields is staying at middleweight. Maybe Strikeforce can stick Joe Riggs in there against Heiron if his hand is healed.
