RENER GRACIE vs. 21 (Part 1 of 2)

www.GracieUniversity.com While in Florida, Rener had the chance to spar with 33 members of the Jacksonville SWAT team and Police Department. About half of them were experienced grapplers and the other half were new to jiu-jitsu, but all of them were in determined to win. The batteries in the camera died during the 21st match so you dont get see the last 12 submissions.

@joebeast15 when rener and ryron competed they were every bit as good as kron and a good bit bigger.Also theyve been training a lot longer than him,8 years in ryrons case.

I would love to see Rener try the same thing against Paulo Thiago here in Brasil. (BOPE) The outcome would be quite different. Its like Rener taking a basic shooting class and competing against these guys in a Tactical shootout.

I live in Jacksonville and I believe my instructor Luiz Palhares offers classes to the police officers (I dont know if these are his students) Rener looks good though haha..those legs are good for those triangles! His transitions look good too

Calm down their champ. No disrespect was meant to any body. Having served with SWAT the principles which we worked from are very different from what this video displays. What BJJ has done for my work as a police officer is unquestionable, however you have put these officers into Rener’s element. And in response to your attack based on my comment. Your comment is a sign of your insecurities. You fail. I look forward to witty banter you plan to post, due to insecurity.

Rener is a sick grappler, but what we have to remember is that these SWAT guys would never get to this point. By this chance they are focused on defending their weapon from a suspect, and or using their weapon on the suspect. The other part of a SWAT team is the team. At this point one of his fellow officers is on the suspect ripping him to pieces and throw cuffs on him.

but come on, they arent even giving a challenge whatsoever…if your good enough to make SWAT you should at least be able to get side control lol. take away their weapons and it could be a long night for them

hehe it’s even more funny that they actually fall into his triangle not the guard lol..it would be good if they grabbed around his legs with both hands but they do it with 1 so they get smoked.. lol

The Gracie Brothers (Rener and Ryron) should get a lot of repect for making the sport so popular. I really enjoy watching these videos but I haven’t found any competition videos on Rener and only 2 or 3 with Ryron. Does Rener compete or just teach cops at seminars

very impressive. what i find more impressive is that he has the juevos to do that. most instructors wont do that, in fear that they may lose, and students will look down on them.
