    you said it was a katana that was brought from china, it wasnt it was a chokuto… not a katana, accept the correction gracefully…

    you, and almost everyone else who has to resort to telling people “you know what your doing” most likely, DO NOT,,, and you are showing some fundemntal misunderstandings that are testing your credibility.
    do you usually speculate about things history has already gave answers for?

    The curve of the blade evolved over time. They were straight to begin with and then evolved, regardless of the structure, the blades were straight to begin with. Even if the blade that was brought back from China was not referred to as a katana, which is any sword which fits between the specified length, it spawned the creation of the katana, and it was STRAIGHT.
    So I may have had some specifics skewed, I KNOW what I am talking about. My other suggestion was merely speculative UNDERSTAND?

    you started by calling what was brought from china a katana, WRONG. the straightbladed nihonto is called a chokuto (im not bothering wth the accent,…)

    the curve is a direct result of the 2 different crystalline structures of steel pulling on each other while cooling…
    if you dont know what your talking about why must you insist on running your mouth…

    there is also NO evidence that ninja used specific swords….

    @benderzacfender I’m not sure where you live, but in California, it is not illegal to carry a sword around with you.
    Carrying throwing knives is illegal. Carryi
    ng batons is illegal. Carrying a gun without a license is illegal. Carrying ninja stars is a fellony. But carrying a (sheathed) sword is not illegal in most states.

    But I wouldn’t recommend it. Illegal or not, the police could probably think of any number of other things to bust you for
