yup , he decided to do kickboxing after he tried to become a soccer player here in holland but that never worked well for him so he choose kickboxing .

Well mate, Aerts was 19 here, and had only started kickboxing in 1984. So what we see here is after less than five years of training.

Me, this is the second year, I don’t train more than twice a week. I’ve won small regional fights against people with five years experience with my eyes closed. Not meaning to brag; I’m just damn tall and I have a good coach teaching me how to use that.

But here Aerts is, already on a pro level after so little time, and giving a good match to one of the best.

I think that Hoost lost to Sapp because no one really knew how to fight a guy that big. He was among the first to have to deal with him. Now that Sapp’s fought a bunch, people know better what to do with his size. Remember the second fight with Sapp was a ref stoppage on their feet because it ‘looked bad’. I don’t think that one needed to stop then. I think Hoost would have won, especially since Sapp had already broken his hand at the point of the stop.

How Bob Sapp escaped at WGP in Amsterdam 2006 when he was suposed to have fight with Hoost ? I will tell u . He escaped cuz he is big tarded chicken and was to scared to fight with 1 of K-1 legends.Hoost had 41 years at that time and cuz Bob Sapp escaped like bitch from Amsterdam they called Peter Aerts from his comment position to fight unpreapered with HoosT.Peter take shorts from Semmy Schilt and went into the ring to fight with Hoost.Hoost won by decision.Sry for my bad english.Sapp=pussy

to this day i still think hoost kicks are the best in any art form…his technique is flawless…a. silva is the only one that comes close…
